Ninety students weighed in on Horizon’s favorite Thanksgiving food poll, and the results were clear: mac and cheese dominated with 65.6% of the vote, followed by mashed potatoes at 56.7%. Bread rolls (43.3%) and sweet potatoes (30%) also earned strong support. Among the least-loved dishes, which were submitted under “other,” were pomegranates, pork dishes and apple crisp, each at just 1.1%.
For favorite Thanksgiving pies, apple pie took the top spot with 45.6% of the vote, while pumpkin pie came in second at 30%. Pecan pie earned 15.6%, 7.8% of students wrote in other favorites and a small 1.1% said they do not like pie at all.
Whether you agree with the poll’s top picks or think your favorite was robbed, Horizon hopes you enjoy a restful, well-fed break and a very happy Thanksgiving.
