With Halloween right around the corner, Horizon polled more than 120 Sidwell Upper School students to uncover where they stand on two spooky-season staples: ghosts and candy.
In the first poll, students were asked whether they believe in ghosts. Only 15% identified as true believers, while nearly half said they don’t believe in ghosts at all. The remaining respondents were undecided. Sophomore Heloise Campbell, one of many who answered “maybe” explained, “I don’t always believe in ghosts, but more in spirits.”
The second poll explored students’ Halloween candy preferences, and the results show that the majority of Upper School students are chocolate lovers. Twix, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and Kit Kats were the top three picks, while Sour Patch Kids were close behind for those who prefer fruity, sour treats.
